The other piece [[On Writing]] that has caused me to seriously pause, is [this one](https://sashachapin.substack.com/p/if-you-have-writers-block-maybe-you) by [[Sasha Chapin]]. He writes: "f you don’t want to do that, it’s because you’re not comfortable with the notion that _these are the things that you actually think._ You would prefer to have more sophisticated opinions, or, maybe, more _reasonable_ opinions." I struggle with this a lot. Much of what I write, once I write it, just falls so far short of the level of depth and insight, that I would like to abandon the idea of writing immediately and never return to it. Linking this idea with my other post [[On Writing]], [[2021-11-14 On Writing in Decades]], writing is an activity that exposes those of us who are really on the 50th percentile of talent distribution, but also improves the odds of ending up much higher on the curve in terms of output and impact. "We know we're not that talented, but we've out-worked the talent over a time period in the order of decades"
